We’re delighted that planning approval has been secured for Phases 2 and 3 of the Outline Application at Orchard Farm Kent, marking the final stages of the development after Phase 1 Reserved Matters approval.
Collective designed the masterplan to transform East Kent’s farms, hamlets, orchards, and rural patterns into a connected, landscape-led community at the edge of the Kent Downs. These final stages will deliver up to 97 new homes, using a plot-based design that gives the next generation of homemakers real opportunities.
Life at Orchard Farm thrives on connection and collaboration. Communal courtyards bring residents together while supporting individual expression. Open spaces and paths link homes, courtyards, and parks, encouraging walking, cycling, and social interaction. The community celebrates choice and variety, giving residents the freedom to shape their homes and surroundings.
Leading the masterplan design alongside Orchard Farm Kent Ltd and collaborators, including Thomas Ashley, Barter Hill Partnership Limited, Betteridge & Milsom, EDLA, Hone Ecology, Peter de Groot, Space Maker Architects, and others, has been deeply rewarding.
We look forward to seeing Orchard Farm grow into a shared living landscape where people and nature thrive.
